The first explosion occurred at Bauchi road a major thoroughfare in Jos that is also in an area where many Muslim families reside. At least 15 people were killed and 20 others were injured in the attacks, while the second explosion occurred around Yantaya, Nasarawa Gwon area, both in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria later reported that Tafsir (Islamic preaching session) was ongoing around the scene of the second explosion.
The twin explosions occurred hours after a suicide bomber killed at least six people in a church in Potiskum in Yobe State.
The police in the state could not be reached for comments at the time of publishing this report.
