Why Do You Want To Get Married ? (See Funny Answers You Won't Believe)

Marriage they say is an institution one doesn't graduate from. It can be all  rossy and sometimes bumpy. Well, for those who made the right decisions it's more like honey moon even after the real honeymoon *smiles* . But for those who never really settled down to think things over and carefully weigh their decisions its more like "welcome to hell". 

So i was surfing through an online forum, where users were ask to state their various reasons for getting married and why they want to get married . Some funny response, some shocking while some will definitely get you thinking.

uhmm, I am not eager to be married. All i want is someone to Love me, and cherish me.
Infact if the guy i intend to marry is talking to much about how many kids he want, what name he'll give them and blah blah..kid kid, i will start thinking whether or not i really want to marry him. I don't like it when guys talk too much about how they want their kids, what they want, names they want, when i would get pregnant, and so many other things. It makes me sick seeing a guy talk about stuffs like that, I know it's not a crime for a guy to talk about things like that, but please don't over-do it.
Well... Marriage is one of the last thing on my mind prolly because i haven't seen anyone i wanna love forever. I remeber when i was 13..marriage was my Number One priority. Weird but true. I loved the guy so much and infact it looked like we were husband and wife..so i thought marriage was gonna be fun.

Do you know that you get the best out of a babe when you are still dating. Once married the whole relationship changes. All those things she used to tolerate and accept now become big issues to nag and quarrel over. So why get married eh...Just food for though
Don't get me wrong I love married life, just that people need to go into it with the right frame of mind, forget all those fairy tales, "hapilly ever after" it doesn't happen that way there are ups and downs, temptations, trials, fights etc, In fact true love is what you see after many years of marriage when all the issues have been worked out and the couples are more like brother and sister.

i for one am not eager to get married actually i am not looking forwards to getting married i mean if there was a way for me to have kids without getting attached and feeling good about it i would do that. i mean i know there are ways to do that but at the same time i would want my child to know who her/his father is. but if there was a way that i would feel good having kids but yet no strings attached then i would do that.
at the moment i feel that marriage is stressful... it is just a lot of work.

i wanna get married cos i want someone i can share everything with, someone i can learn to love unconditionally whether i want to or not. someone i can always forgive. someone that will do all these back to me. tell you the truth - i'm lonely, and i need someone that would be there for me all the time. and for heaven's sake, i cant wait to see what my kids will look like!

I want to get married for personal growth and fulfillment. Through your spouse and your children, you will encounter monumental challenges and obstacles like you never before envisioned. Its a ride, it soars high with you, then the wind shears underneath and you are suddenly slammed down. But you must get back up! Who will provide and protect for your family if you don't? But soon as you stand upright, it flips you again. On and off, you go through this swing between sweet and sour. I want to get married so i can settle down and start my own family. And wake up knowing that the guy right next to me is mine for life. Have kids and see them grow up. And finally have. . .

Those are some comments in reply to this ultimate question "Why do you want to get married?" .
Now i'm throwing same question at you.

Why do you want to get married?
- It is because you want children?   If so, why not just adopt a baby?
- Is it for social recognition or respect?  Why not just make some money and flaunt it to get respect?
- Is it for love?  Is there any guarantee that his/her love wont evaporate after marriage like that of your five to ten former lovers?
- Is it because the society demands it?  You'll be surprised that when you 'bone society' and keep doing your thing the rumors will eventually die down because people have their own problem to worry about.  Nobody complains about the dressing Charly Boy anymore.

Ok, I still want to get married.  I think it's love I'm looking for; love in all dimensions.
